Thousand Times reconnects with rap icon Legend Status on two new tracks produced by Billboard charting artist MadeinTYO.
With a trip to cook with MadeinTYO in Japan on the line the stakes are high. The songs were created as part of a remix contest presented by the social-music platform Audius. “As soon as I heard the beats MadeinTYO created I was sure Legend Status had to bless the tracks” says Thousand Times.
Malcolm Jamaal Davis, better known by his stage name MadeinTYO, is an American rapper and singer who was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in Tokyo, Japan. He is best known for his single “Uber Everywhere,” which peaked at number 51 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Audius is an innovative music streaming platform that uses blockchain technology to give artists and listeners more control and freedom. With Audius, artists can easily upload their music and keep full control over their content, while listeners get to enjoy a vast and diverse library of tunes from talented musicians and producers all around the world.
For this collaboration Thousand Times played the role of “executive producer” connecting the dots of a great instrumental with a talented MC. The duo of songs were written by Legend Status are called “Harajuku” & “Save Yours”. The tracks are available exclusively on Audius. The pair of tunes marks the third collaboration between LS & Thousand Times following a single and music video release in March.
“I started using Audius last month after I collaborated with producer Kato On The Track & Tre Trax-I love the social aspect of the platform” admits Thousand Times.
