With big dreams, a growing fanbase, and a catalog of unreleased music waiting to drop, she’s poised to become one of the genre’s most exciting new voices.
We sat down with Voixx to talk about her journey, her creative process, and what’s next for her career.
Q: Voixx, you’ve been performing since you were six years old. What first drew you to music?
I’ve always felt connected to music—it’s just been a part of me for as long as I can remember. Even as a kid, I loved performing and feeling that connection with people through my voice. It was never something I had to force; it just felt natural.
Q: You’ve had some major milestones, like singing the national anthem for the Tampa Bay Rays for five years in a row. What did that experience mean to you?
It was such an honor. Performing in front of so many people in a stadium like that really pushed me to be confident in my voice. It’s one thing to sing in a studio, but being on that kind of stage taught me how to handle pressure and stay grounded.
Q: Your single “Attention” has gotten a lot of praise. Can you tell us about the creative process behind it?
“Attention” actually started as a freestyle. I was in the studio just playing around with ideas, and the melody came to me pretty naturally. Later, I went back, cleaned it up, and added some layers to really bring it to life. I wanted it to feel honest and raw, and I think that’s what people connect with when they hear it.
Q: Your style blends R&B with pop and experimental influences. How do you describe your sound?
I’d say it’s soulful and emotional, but I also love exploring different sounds and textures. I’m not afraid to experiment. At the end of the day, though, my goal is to make people feel something—to connect with them on a personal level.
Q: Who are some artists you’d love to collaborate with?
Tems and SZA are at the top of my list. I feel like our voices would complement each other so well, and we could create something really special. I’m always drawn to artists who bring emotion and storytelling into their work.
Q: You’ve been in the industry since 2014. What’s been the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
Patience and persistence. The music industry can be unpredictable, so you really have to believe in yourself and your work. Growth doesn’t always happen overnight, but every step—big or small—counts.
Q: What inspires you to keep creating?
Honestly, my life experiences and the people I’ve met along the way. Every moment, whether good or bad, has shaped me and given me something to say. I think that’s why my songs feel personal—I’m pulling from real emotions and experiences.
Q: What advice would you give to young artists trying to break into music?
Don’t be afraid to explore who you are. Find your voice, know yourself, and don’t lose sight of what makes you unique. It’s easy to get caught up in what’s trending, but people connect with authenticity.
Q: Where do you see yourself in the next few years?
I want to be touring, creating music full-time, and sharing my work with audiences all over the world. That’s the dream—to make this my life completely.
Q: What’s next for Voixx?
There’s so much more music to come. I have a catalog of unreleased songs that I can’t wait to share. I’m always creating, always pushing myself to try something new. This is just the beginning.
Q: Any final thoughts for your fans?
Thank you for listening, for supporting me, and for letting my music be part of your lives. I can’t wait to keep sharing more with you. This journey is just getting started.
